We already have an 11.11 depots on a PA server. Is it possible and recommendable to use our current 11iv1 (11.11) SD repositories to maintain 11.23 patch depots?

Bad (not that bad if you really think) part is that you maintain two depots.
My personal preference is to go for individual depot paths.

I agree with Anil. it's much better to keepthe repository for each OS. You can use swinstall to select which repository yuo would like to use.

We build all of our patch sets on an 11.00 system, using sd/ux. WE do this becasue this system has read/write access to all of our NFS and its the only one with enough space to manage all those patches.
We have built major complex patch sets on this system and succesfully installed them on 11.00, 11.11 and 11.23 sytstems, world wide.
