path not able to delete

Hi Friends,
I had removed my VA7110 va which was attachted with my server without reducing and removing my logical volumes and volume groups . now when i apllied command vgdisplay -v naturaly error comes vgXX group not active . This all groups where in VA which i had removed. Now how to remove this path related to volume groups .
Pl. show me the procedure .

Try running vgexport against the Volume Groups that have "disappeared".

should be able to "vgreduce -f"

Hi,

You don't neeed to use vgreduce, only vgexport for all unneded volume groups, i.e:
vgexport vg1
vgexport vg2 etc.
Entities are not to be multiplied beyond necessity - RTFM

Hi,

An easier method. Just move the /etc/lvmtab file to some place else and execute vgscan.

here is the command sequence...

#mv /etc/lvmtab /tmp
#vgscan -a -v

Now I don't think you will have any error with your vgdisplay command.
