pax from ignite: not all data recovered

Hi,

i use: pax -rkvf /dev/rmt/0mn
to recover the data from an ignitetape. Some data is recovered, but other not. When I gave the same command with the dirs that are not recovered: pax -rkvf /dev/rmt/0mn /opt/share/esri /local

they can be recovered without any problem.
Why does it not recover the whole tar in one session???

I had the same problem.
Not all data was recovered.

I had an older tape recovery which was not the one I wanted but had to do!

Did you get any errors when you performed the make_tape_recovery?

No, no errors. Just a lot of data missing spread over the filesystems.

yes I did I used an older make_tape_recovery tape


always make more than 1
that's just for a test machine

by the way my tape which only recovered part of the data- No I did not solve that one!

tried allsorts as well
It didn't work
