please let me know solution if any for mounting HPUX11.00 system's file system on a windows95 machine.
At the server side pcnfsd is configured and /etc/hosts contains the hostname and ipaddress of the windows system.
file system is anonymously mounted .
exportfs -a shows that.
at the win95 system i have loaded SSC DiskAccess software.
It is a 1 month evaluation copy that i down loaded from the web site "www.ssc-corp.com".
While installing the software it asks for "serial number of the product " which is not available even after requesting for it so many times. But once the serial number was appearing automatically in the field where i have to feed it and i could install it.
After installation it was not importing or mounting any file systems in the local system.
I hope ihave clearly explained the situation.
Solutions if any or alternatives if nay please let me know.
regards
vijay

Re: PCNFS Not working
I have gone through the installation and administraion manuals of CIFS server as well as the CIFS client. But i couldnot find anything related to mounting a UNIX file system on a NT /Windows client.
So if you can brief me your concept of implementing it will be helpfull
Thank you

SolutionIm not and will not be in my office before moday or tuesday, so I cant help for CIFS or samba before then, if you are in need of something that works now today, if you have a NT server (a pc can do, that is on what I am now, but it needs NT server OS) then you go and see on the web WRQ.com site and dowload a trial version of Reflection NFS-Gateway, this product works great I have 4 servers (2pcs) running the soft, the advantage is dead easy install and config..., I know WRQ have a NFS client for PC that works also but dont know if it is sold separtely (I have a site using Reflection TCP suite in which it is included).
So until tuesday ... have a good week-end,
and all the best

Re: PCNFS Not working
Now i got one solution from Humingbird softarw called NFS maestro client and i could successfully mount UNIX file system into a 95 client.
But the thing is in one of the directoris i had a file with similar name but different case (ie one is of uppercase and next is lowercae). No i need to keep these to files in a same folder in the 95 system.
While trying to copy these files it is trying to overwrite each other .I am unable to keep both the files in same folder.
In humming birds NFS maestro client i have selected the option calles preserve case.
Solutions if any please let me know.
