performance doc

Hi all,

Someone recently posted a link to a nice HPUX performance doc. I believe it was during November and was on an HP site. Seems like the url referenced canada and external(?). It was one of the best performance docs I've seen.

As you can guess, I've lost that bookmark. I've searched (ITRC search and search.hp.com) and haven't found it.

Anyone remember that link?

Thanks,
Darrell (the forgetful one)

Re: performance doc

Hi Darell,

Are you looking for this?
http://h21007.www2.hp.com/dspp/files/unprotected/devresource/Docs/TechPapers/UXPerfCookBook.pdf

You can find most of the docs at http://h21007.www2.hp.com/dspp/tech/tech_TechTypeListingPage_IDX/1,1704,10002,00.html

Re: performance doc

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'd been searching for 30 minutes and was becoming irritable, to say the least.

Ramesh, that's the one.

Harry, that's a good'un too.

Both are safely bookmarked this time!

Thanks,
Darrell

Re: performance doc

Hi Darryl,

there's a nice perf tuning guide at hp.com/go/java

Although it is specific on java, the same principles apply to other apps.. such as finding bottlenecks, modifying kernel, etc..

Later,
Bill
It works for me (tm)

Re: performance doc

Sanjay, those were good.

Bill, I need some insight into where to look at hp.com/go/java. The tuning section wasn't readily noticeable so can you point me to it?

Prashant, I first thought you had given me 2 links to the same thing that Harry had already given me. Actually it was only 1 but the other was to version 3.1 so that's a winner too. However, your second link gives me a "We're sorry -- the file could not be found." message.

Thanks,
Darrell
