performance utilities
I need some advice on what are the bundle in tools/utilities to use on HP-UX 11 to analyse the system performance. If possible, I need some thing that can show in graphical format. And where is the best site to look into on all the HP systems performance issue.
TQ

Re: performance utilities
I'd like to recommend SOS by Lund Performance Solutions along with their Performance Gallery Gold. I've used it for a coon's age and recommend it highly. It too has a free trial period and excellent support.

Re: performance utilities
I usually use sar and vmstat. Both can show you much about your system and are free. Also, sar is available on HP-UX, SunOS/Solaris and Irix. (not sure about AIX). If you can use sar you can monitor the big boys anyway (Sun and HP).
If you need automation of monitors, notifications, and lots of pretty pictures to impress the boss (bosses like pretty pictures) the Glance is the way to go.
(Strangely most boss types dont mind paying for pretty pictures! ) HE HE
