Performance
Does anyone has a standard health Check document for HP-UX servers?
I want to check basic high water mark of the system, like when I run sar -H for HBA or -L for lunpath what number will tell me its not good.
I hope you understand what I a trying say.

Re: Performance
Hi,
performance is a real complex thing - the is no basic Health Check due to the fact that there are to many points playing the game.
Just to give you an idea:
What box are you using, what hp-ux version, how many cpu's, how much memory, what kind of memory configuration, what kind of disks (local, SAN attached), how are the disks connected, what kind of network connection (100BT, 1000BT, APA, ...), which application are you using, what kernel modification have been made, do you use virtualization like HPVM or vpars, ...
Best practice would be running a base line after machine is ready for production using stress tests to see how the machine reacts on different loads and getting values to compare.
Is there any specific point you are looking for?
