Yes. I am specifically looking for perl 5.6.0.

I already have perl 5.6.1 but I have been advised to load perl 5.6.0 on HP-UX 11i.

Can't find the package anywhere. According to the Perl ports page (http://www.perl.com/CPAN/ports/index.html#hpux), 5.6.1 is shipped by default with HP-UX 11.00 since October of last year. They removed v5.6.0 from all download centers.

Can you give a good reason for choosing 5.6.0 over 5.6.1?

The source code for 5.6.0 can be found in ftp://download.xs4all.nl/pub/mirror/CPAN/src/5.0/perl-5.6.0.tar.gz (amongst many other mirrors). All official binary distributions for HP-UX (including the original CPAN port are 5.6.1 only.
