Perl 5.x on old HPUX 11.00 machine

simple question. Is there a depot for a Perl 5.x version for HPUX 11.00 anywhere.

Perl 5.0 should have come on the OS disks.

This seems to be what I am looking for. But I cannot download it. I cannot download anything from that site it seems. I get a message "We cannot process your order". Any idea why this happens. BTW. ist there a official way to get to that HP depot search facility. I never fpound it by myself only using hints like your link.

Hi.

The first place to start would be software.hp.com . Well the second, since the first would be google.

Although with Perl maybe Merijn's site or activestate.com would be helpful too. Also for other perl packages try cpan.org

Another location to try would be the HP-UX porting centres. The one for Europe is in the UK at the following address: http://hpux.connect.org.uk/

Newer versions are not ported to HP-UX 11.00 anymore by HP or the HP Porting center.

I may be the only one still porting perl and gcc to HP-UX 11.00 and 10.20 *and* making that available to the world.

Note that perl ports for HP-UX 11.11 (11i v1) and higher will NOT work on 11.00.
