Perl DBI/DBD Oracle HP-UX 11.23


I upgraded HP-UX 11.11 --> HP-UX 11.23 on a test box. I have some databases running, some are Oracle 8.1.7 and some are 10g.

I've installed the Perl DBI/DBD pieces.

They work fine with ORACLE_HOME set to 10g but fail when ORACLE_HOME is set to 8.1.7.

I get: ERROR OCIEnvNlsCreate error.

I'm not really sure what to do about this. I could hardwire my scripts to use the 10g ORACLE_HOME, but that seems like a hack.

Any ideas?

relink the oracle database and try again.
