there is perl 5.8.5 availble at the hp porting site if you want the latest version.

Procura should have a website that has a prebuilt PERL with DBI/DBD support... Search the forums or if Procura could respond..

None of my builds have DBD::Oracle included, for reasons I explain on my site

All of my builds have DBI included (the most recent DBI at the time of the build)

Note that `older' perls on the Proting center (if you can still find them) do not work with DBD::Oracle, because the build method was (by then) not correct. They forgot to include two essential libraries.

I'd go for perl-5.8.5, DBI-1.45, and DBD-Oracle-1.16 if you are going to connect to a Oracle 9 or higher database. For Oracle 7 or 8, perl-5.6.x will do

Do you have any (valid) reason to stick to perl-5.6? If so, I can still make you a perl-5.6.2 on 11.11 with DBI included and prepared for DBD-Oracle. If you however have HP C-ANSI-C available, it should be a breathe to do it yourself. Just read README.hpux for both perl and DBD-Oracle.
