Permission denied on mnttab
about once per hour syslog writes the following message:
automountd[772]: /etc/mnttab: Permission denied
and /etc/mnttab file has the following permissions:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root sys 11142 Jul 16 14:33 /etc/mnttab
Does anyone know why syslog writes that messages? The box is a hp-ux 11.00
Cheers,
Lorenzo.

Re: Permission denied on mnttab
You might try applying the latest NFS patch PHNE_28567.

Re: Permission denied on mnttab
$ mount -a
And see then it fails, the go to the export system and look at that to make sure you have the right permissions like:
/etc/exports:
/mount -anon=2

Re: Permission denied on mnttab
1. OS version is: hp-ux 11.00 (64 bit)
2. NFS patch PHNE_28567 is already in.
3. mount -a does not show errors (permission error from syslog talks about automountd :)
any other suggestion?
Thanks,
Lorenzo.

Re: Permission denied on mnttab
I get the same error. Have you found a solution yet? If yes, what did you have to do?
