PHP-4.0.3 on HP-UX-11 with Apache

I get a similar message when I do the make install:
...
...
Making install in regex
Making install in .
/opt/apache/bin/apxs -i -a -n php4 libs/libphp4.sl

apxs: Error: file libs/libphp4.sl is not a shared object.
*** Error exit code 1
Any help would be appreciated..

Hi Susan,

I cannot say what's wrong with your php4 lib since I haven't yet built apache's httpd on HP-UX.
I only built it on a Linux box from source tarballs.

I am having the same problem. I am trying to build php4 on a HP 712. I keep getting the message "libs/libphp4.sl is not a shared library". Thanks for any help you may have.

I am running apache 1.3.9 I get the same message about libphp4.sl from apxs. Are there some insight into this problem?
