PHSS_24638 installation error

I get an error when analysing my pHSS_24638.depot file in the swinstall process. I have attached the log file here with. Any idea what might be causing this?

Chamitha,

By looking at your log information, you may want to try moving the /var/adm/sw/products/OS-Core/CORE-SHLIBS/INFO file to /var/adm/sw/products/OS-Core/CORE-SHLIBS/INFO.orig and restore that file from a backup. Then try your patch install again.

When I do a "ls" in the /var/adm/sw/products/OS-Core/CORE-SHLIB path it lists a INFO file. However if i do a "ls -a" it does not list the file. It seems like the file doesnt exist?

My thinking is that part of it may be missing. Try and restore it from a backup and see if that clears it up for you.

Hi,

You can restore the file from a backup tape of the system. If you have no backup, you may be able to copy the file from a similar system at your site.
