Hi all,
I just upgraded a test box to HPUX 11.11, the vg00 disk is 4.3gb.
After Upgrade I tried to increase some of my mountpoints a little to be like a live box we have and I get message about not enough physical extents. Get this sometimes aftre upgrades and I can't remember the trick to correct it.
I did a vgdisplay and it shows Total PE 1023
Alloc PE 1023 and Free PE 0
What do I need to do so I can increase a few of the mountpoints on vg00?
Thanks so much
MIke

Solution
Hi,
You've used up all of your 4.3 Gb disk, as the 'Free PE 0' is reporting. If you have more disks available in the system, you can add them to the vg00 volume group (see vgextend) and then you should be able to grow your mountpoints.

Re: Physical extents , not enough PE's message
Unfortunately you are out of extents (i.e. no more space) on this drive. You would either need to add another disk (or two if mirroring) or do a make_tape_recovery and recover the system. During the recovery you will need to reduce something to reclaim some space.
