Ping error

I'm trying to ping an ip address on you HP-UX server and I'm getting this error:

ping 172.x.x.x
sh: ping: not found.

Thanks for the help in advance.

You shell obviously can't find the ping command.

You could use
/usr/bin/ping
/etc/ping (as long as you have transition links)
Anyone for a Mutiny ?

Hi,
That is you dont have it in your path:
/usr/sbin/ping
