Re: Please Post Forums Issues - December 2005

The speed of this site is severely lacking this morning. Bringing up the "reply to message" page so I can reply to 444.875 seconds (according to the Page Load Timer from the Fasterfox extension for Firefox).

That is utterly ridiculous.

Please fix it.

All these issues are really starting to get old.

Could you tell me more about what you are seeing? Is your Welcome name and Forums name showing the same thing to the left when you see this problem?

If you can, please remove the first ("sorta" duplicate) of my two responses in this post: http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=979846

Also, is there any way to post scripts and output excerpts in fixed-width fonts, with spacing preserved? Something along the lines of the "
" html tag?

Hi Cheryl,
Merry Christmas to everyone.

I find that too many link are unavailable.

Probably there are many old messages pointing to html pages that have been moved; but there should be a way to get back these important information.

Still having to double clutch, submit twice to get posts to go in from firefox.

Pete are you going to add browser support to your monthly issues list?

Shalom all.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - December 2005

Steve,

Considering the limited amount of development time HP seems to alot to Forums maintenance, I would prefer that it be concentrated on other areas than browser support. I would even go so far as to use IE if I had to, but Netscape under HP-UX seems to work OK for me. I do have issues on occasion but am able to get around them.

On second thought, Steve, I'll add it and let HP prioritize.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - December 2005

Hopefully it's better now, but, at around 8:40AM EST, response was absolutely awful. It took 452 seconds to post a reply, 392 to load the main page in another browser window, and 115 seconds to open this Issues thread. In the meantime, IE was doing no better, though it doesn't have the handy little timer that Netscape does and I've misplaced my stopwatch.
