Re: Please Post Forums Issues - January 2006

I spoke too soon, I got the error posting my last response, above (but despite the error, it was actually posted on the first attempt, also as described above).

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - January 2006

I see many failures, too, but in those cases the first post is almost 100% not successful. So far I had only 1 or 2 duplicates due to retries.

And yesterday I once again lost my text, just because I hit [Edit>>] !

Shalom,

Thread spelling error. JRF was right it WAS a spelling mistake, not a typo.

Also, when I submit points with firefox, it just sits there and never moves to the thank you page. It adds the points but gives the appearence of hanging.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - January 2006

Hi Folks:

The availablity and performance of the Forums is terrible. No other HP site I have traversed has had any problem, including subsections of the ITRC at large.

It is my observation (and always have been) that it poor performance and a high number of page errors are invariably confined to the Forums.

Why do you think that my be?

Regards!

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - January 2006

Cheryl, Dan,

I wanted to report frequent "System Unavailable" during the whole of the day, but it seems this only will be a "me too".
Makes it all the worse.

Proost.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - January 2006

Hi (again) Dan & Cheryl:

I agree with Geoff, the last hour or two reponse has been very, very good.

I still stand by my earlier comments, though. There are far, far too many times that the ITRC at large is quite accessible whereas the Forum is dead-dog-slow.

Regards!

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - January 2006

Hi Dan & Cheryl:

I'm glad to see one of your own (Melvyn B) sees the same problem others do, that "... the forums performance is shockingly bad".

It has been the last hour or so and yet was lightening fast early today. Something is still seriously amiss.

Regards!

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - January 2006

Ok this is borderline absurd, I think the speed this evening leaves a lot to be desired, I've gotten numerous network error, wallpapers and a chicca forget about it error...

so i made the last one up...

I think I'm with Paul... its Friday and the NFL Divisional playoffs is this weekend...
