John,

Thanks, moved to HP-UX

MS,

Thanks, it's caused by the "=" at the end of the links, removed them, is ok now. It only happens with IE

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - March 2005

Cheryl, Dan,

trying to access the "online Help" (top left of screen) results in:

This particular IT Resource Center URL, http://us-support.external.hp.com/estaff/bin/doc.pl/screen=estaffAssistance/distrib_redir=0+1110460309|*, is obsolete. Please update your links accordingly.

All of the other IT Resource Center applications remain available from the IT Resource Center Home.

....and not even the info about WHAT to update the link with ...

Somehow, that does not look entirely as it should.

Proost.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - March 2005

Cheryl, Dan,

by the posters own statement in his next thread this is to be ignored:

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=833989

May then better remove it.

And in that case, adapt the header of

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=833990

accordingly.

Why is it that this thread shows a bunny with no points assigned.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - March 2005

Thats a feature, which maybe itrc regrets rolling out.

If you read Pete's wish list you'll see its a known issue, which hopefully will be resolved.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - March 2005

Dave,

The new thread closing "feature" allows the author to check a box saying "I have found a solution to this question as seen in the comments below" - that (wrongly, in my opinion) triggers the wabbit!

FYI.

Is there a way to edit your post so that in case you give a wrong answer you can change them?

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - March 2005

Once you click submit there is no way to go back and edit your post yourslef.

You could possibly get one the very kind ITRC Foums moderators to edit it if you posted a request.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - March 2005

I am not sure if this is my browser, my profile, or an ITRC issue. I use Netscape 7.2 Whenever I open netscape and visit the forums, I am not logged in. (forums and regular itrc...) I stay logged in, but if I close the browser, I have to re-authenticate into the itrc. This is even if I have the "Remember Userid and Password box" checked.

Is this really a problem, or should I just stop letting it bug me and login when I need to?

Paul & Patrick,

There's no problem with asking one of us to edit your posts

John,

posting this from 7.2.. I logged in, closed the browser, opened again selected the same profile , I'm still logged in, can you check your settings?

Cheers,

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - March 2005

Cheryl,

I just loaded pages 5 and 6 in the HPUX forum. (http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/familyhome.do?familyId=117&filterType=1&pageNum=6) The posts did not load, just all the other stuff.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - March 2005

Hi Cheryl and Dan,

I have noticed two things regarding the forums (I don't know if they are posted earlier, so please forgive me creating duplicates):

- I'm not able to submit answers if I'm working on my Ipaq. I get following error:
Error

system unavailableThe system is currently unavailable. Please try again later.

wpa-pl-wpaframework-10000

Seems like a known HP ITRC forum bug:
http://www.google.nl/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s&hl=nl&q=wpa-pl-wpaframework-10000+&meta=&btnG=Google+zoeken

- There is a difference between top border of a list of topics and the top border of a topic. There is even a difference between firefox and ie. (see attachment)

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - March 2005

I don't like the font that is defined with the stylesheet of the forum web site.

I would prefer if the forum use courier as default font for the threads. Then a lot of missunderstandings will be prevent, if you write down commands in a reply.
