Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (8/2)
During the last three hours I have been seeing particularly slow response time; a high percentage of SSI errors on refreshes of the HP-UX FamilyHome page; a high number of incomplete (truncated) pages returned upon refresh; and the requirement to login when initiating a search of the Forum.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (8/2)
It'd be useful to see the original question when replying.
This morning:
Error processing SSI file
'/cm/FamilyHomeContent/1,1152,LoggedIn!117,00.html'
was appearing for about 20 minutes when trying to reload the hp-ux forum.

Solution1. I got an email notifying me that a response had been posted to a question.
2. Using my email program I doubleclicked, bringing up Netscape 4.7 and thus going to the question.
3. I then tried to reply to the question.
4. I could not reply. The last responder was signed on to the European site and the Reply button tried to take me to the European site. Since I am an American site user I was refused access.
5. I had to clear history from Netscape, exit the program and reboot. This allowed me to get on, but only from the normal path, not the mail.
6. Once my reply was posted the email link worked perfectly and I could hit the reply button and it worked.
Gentlemen, it seems that the bug here is that when the last poster is European and you get there from the email sent by the Notify feature, you are directed to the European database (and denied access).
The question is under SERVER, entitled MODEM CONFIGURATION, URL is

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (8/2)
I can live with the other function enhancement requests until they happen, but it is painful to use this forum at times due to the poor response time on refresh.
Get Stephan Ciullo to analyze these HP machines and someone to fix what he finds.
I just attended a seminar he put on about HPUX really works and it was wonderful.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (8/2)
Response time can be measured in the 30-second range that last hour or so. I've gotten "page not found" on a reply; SSI errors on refreshes; and truncated pages. Once again, things are so SLOW as to be almost unusable.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (8/2)
Did you scroll all the way to the right on that thread? There are a couple of long urls that force you to scroll to see the whole message and the 'reply' button.
Dan,
Would it be possible to move the 'Notify Me', 'Reply', and 'New Message' buttons the the left side of the screen so that they can be easily seen if there is a message that pushed them off the right side of the screen like the one Dave references above?
Isn't the 'Assign Points' button on the right side too? What about moving it for the same reasons mentioned for the others?

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (8/2)
This morning (8:30 central) I couldn't reply to any posts (it gave me a 404 page not found error) and it also gave me the same error when I tried to move to the second page of the forums in general. Also, very slow. Seems to work better now, though.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (8/2)
Good call! All the posts I had looked at for months have been wrapping well and giving a good consistent display. I did not notice the scroll bar on the bottom. Thanks very much.
I also second your idea/request that the buttons be put on the left side of the screen.
