Power Supply Trap
Hi,
I have a HP RX2620 HP-UX B.11.23 with two power supplies and I need to send SNMP trap when a power sypply fails, I tried to add resource /system/events/ia64_corehw (using EMS-Event Monitoring Service) but I got an error:
#emscli -a /system/events/ia64_corehw
Adding request ...
No resource instances of /system/events found.
Error : /system/events/ia64_corehw is not a valid resource instance.
Error : failed to register request.
Does anybody know how to solve it, or another way to monitor power supplies?
Thanks!!!

Re: Power Supply Trap
If I may be able to offer a suggestion w/o actually answering your direct question...
I know that you can have (for free if you have a support contract) HP install ISEE onto your server, and it will certainly notify you when your power supply fails.
This is available on stuff as new as any machine that starts with an RXxxxx name, and even much older.
