Predictive Support

When predictive sends info back to HP, does it keep a log on my machine? So that I could go back and look at anything sent to HP.

Re: Predictive Support

There is a log of recent activity:
/opt/pred/bin/psaction.
I'm not aware of any other logs.

Re: Predictive Support

These are recent, are there any back logs. I know I was having an issue last month, but someone deleted the email from root.

Re: Predictive Support

The 'Support Tool Manager' contains a utility called 'logtool' which can show you all hardware related issues for as long as you have records. (Probably since system creation if you did not know they were there).
You can get at them through the STM interface. There are three of them - 'xstm' is the x version, 'mstm' is a command line menu driven interface, & 'cstm' is a straight command line interface.
I use 'xstm' Go to the drop down menu 'Tools' and select 'Utility' then 'Run..' A menu of tools will appear. Select logtool.
You will need to play around here, but for the most part you are just viewing logs in various levels of detail, no options for destruction here.
