Preserve vg00 mirror copy.

Hallo,
I have a vg00 with one mirror copy.
I have installed oracle bin on vg00.
Now i need to upgrade oracle, but i want preserve one copy of my actual situation.
How can i do ? what is the command ?
lvreduce -m 0 preserve a copy or destroy the data on mirror disc?

lvreduce marks the copy invalid, so it does NOT preserve this copy.

Use ignite!

use lvsplit instead ..

You may want to keep oracle stuff out of vg00 and create another vg for Oracle (vgora) Keeping vg00 for the OS only will save you a lot of trouble down the line.

You can use lpsplit and then lvmerge once completed.

Also try ot have a copy using ignite or a backup.
