Printer HP2500
I have a trouble with Hp DeskJet 2500 and HPUX 11.00
When I make a print request: lp -dXXXX
If I make a lpstat, I see my request,
5 seconds later, lpstat again : no entries
But nothing on the printer???
I have this trouble only whit this kind of printer

Re: Printer HP2500
First - has the IP of the printer been changed?
Have you tried:
Checking to see if the printer is enabled and accepting requests
Sometimes I disable and re-enable a printer
Checking to ensure the schedule is running.
Try stopping and restarting the spooler
Checking that the device is ok.
I also go out to /var/spool/lp/request/ and see if the request is still sitting there?
Just a couple thoughts,

Re: Printer HP2500
A tipical trick for spool debug is modify the interface file ( /etc/lp/interface/yourprinter) adding two lines:
exec 2>/tmp/yourprinter.debug
set -x
after first line:
#!/bin/sh
If this line is ommited add it too.
do a lp request and then vi debug file

Re: Printer HP2500
How do you have this printer defined? Is it a networked printer with JetAdmin or a remote printqueue? The behavior of lpstat indicates that the local system is passing the request off to "something".
