By mistake I have replaced IP addrees with a wrong DNS entry in the interface file in /etc/lp/interface. Now I need the IP address.
Is there any way I can find out IP address.
Thanks in advance
Nisar

Re: Printer interface file lost record of IP address
Do you perform full system backups? If you do, restore from your latest successful backup of /etc/lp/interface/xyz before your change.
Hope this helps. Regards.

Re: Printer interface file lost record of IP address
try looking in the /usr/spool/lp/interface/printer name
there is a file over there which will either ahve the name or the IP adress depending on how it was created .Also you may have an entry in the /etc/hosts file .
All the best

SolutionIf that directory does not exist, I do not think any other way will do except for recovering those files from backup.
