Printer service works only as root

I used JetDirect Printer installer to install a print server that accesses two HP printers. As root, it will print both ascii and postscript on the two printers. As a user it will only print ascii. If I try to print postscript via a browser page nothing is printed if I am a user. Any help is appreciated. - Thank you

Hi Tom,

only an idea:
For postscript you may write a temporary file. Check the permissions of the directory or file. Maybe it is always the same file with owner root.
