Printing French characters and currency symbols from Oracle Applications

Hello. I am trying to print reports from Oracle Applications but my French or currency characters are not printing correctly. I have set up my printer using JetDirect Printer Installer for UNIX
Version E.10.34 and am printing to a HP 2100 TN network printer. I would like to try a print directly from Unix but do not know how to create a file using vi with those special characters in it to see if it is a problem with Oracle Applications or the printer setup. Any ideas?

Don't know if this will help or not, but this script (mailit) will mime encode the subject and message body - allowing for French characters - you could either use it as is and have it mail the report - then print it from your mail application - or modify the script to print instead....
