Printing from one server to another
Hello All,
I can't for the life of me think/remember the syntax to print from one server to another...
I thought it was:
lp -d system:printername testprintfile
I get:
lp: destination "system" non-existent.
Yup, I can ping the destination server..etc...
Regards,
J.

Re: Printing from one server to another
Thanks Jose, but that isn't it.
I've added the printer which is a Konica Minolta. I can see it in SAM, I can print to the printer(s) locally, but not from another box. I can actually see the request in the queue, but it just hangs there and never makes it to the printer.

Re: Printing from one server to another
Well, check in the document "Adding a Local Printer to the LP Spooler", whole chapter 10 talk about "Managing Printers and Printer Output". See the Table of Contents here:
http://docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90672/ch10.html
>I can print to the printer(s) locally
Are you refering an Network-Based Printer (LAN with IP) or a Local Printer (non IP)?
