printing .pdf

Has anyone successfully printed .pdf files on an hp5000f100 printer? If so, what printer interface did you use or what settings did you change on the printer itself?

regards

Re: printing .pdf

I'm sorry I guess I wasn't very clear. The printer is configured and cant print regular flat files. When I print pdf files they show up as a garbage, basically lines of random characters.

Re: printing .pdf

I believe the printing of pdf files through AcroRead of HP-UX requires a PostScript compatible printer.

Re: printing .pdf

It is right, acroread prints as postscript, and if you do not have a postscript printer, you can use ghostscript (http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/)
to print both postscript and pdf-documents.
A list of ghostscript compatible printers can be obtained from:
http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/printer.html
Ghostscript is available for nearly all OS !
