Printing problem using terminal/print server with HP 9000

I need to print to an EPSON LQ1170 printer using a Lantronix ETS16PR terminal/printer server from a HP9000 server using SAM to configure the print server and HPNPTYD.
When I print to the same printer using a MUX we have no problem to change the fonts characteristics.
When we use the ETS16PR we do print, but not with the correct font and size.

are you setting the printer up as remote, and using lp services on the termserver, or is this setup as direct and the termserver just a pass-through?

What do the interface scripts look like for each configuration? (/etc/lp/interface/*). The interface scripts for local printers offer some formatting control, but the remote interface does not. You may have to create a custom interface script to do both.
