Printing to another site - needs snmp ?

Hey, I've got a remote site I've setup a tunnel to print to over a WAN lease line. We noticed traffic for port 9100, which was expected. Do I also need to let snmp port 161 go there as well? Looks like I see of this some going to the printer, and I'd just as soon block that too.

Or, can anyone tell me what the minimum port open scenario I can have to print to a foreign printer?

Re: Printing to another site - needs snmp ?

Unless you are using management software (e.g. hpnpadmin )to manage the printer then only 9100 is needed.

user addqueue to configure or add manually so you skip all the snmp junk.
