Printing truncating output

We are printing barcodes in the middle of a printed page from an hpux11 system. Every now and then our barcodes are truncated. Is there configuration settings with the printer in hpux 11.0 that would cause this? Low memory available? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Printing truncating output

Without a few more details, I doubt you are going to get any meaningful responses. e.g. What kind of printer? How is it connected to your L-box? Are you using one of the special barcode modules for a Laserjet? What software? Is all the other output normal? --- and anything else that you might think is significant.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: Printing truncating output

Hi Douglas

You may like to try the following :

1. Increase the memory size on the printer as I assumet hat the printer will be laoding graphics codes for printing the barcode , and trweak the settings specilaly to do wiht the i/p buffer etc .

2. Are you using teh correct model while setting the printer .

3. Is ther a possiblity for you to just use a PC withe printer and configure the same a s a remote printer as this will elimate lots of if's

Re: Printing truncating output

Here are the specifics.

HP 4050TN printer connected to the L box via IP. The printer is in a remote location from our data center. We are using the correct driver for the printer and the printer has a bar code module. This printer works for other printouts and almost all the time for the bar code. Could this be an issue by printing via ip to a remote location on a system that is very close to being maxed out. System being too busy and not spooling correctly? We are trying to lessen the load on that server but not much luck yet. The software running on this system (in addition to hpux) is a product called KIWI. This is a specialty application for box plants.
