printing
Hi Bosses!
We are facing a problem with printing on our hp-ux 11.23. The spooler, scheduler are all running but we cannot print to any of our network printers.
Any help?
Thank you

Re: printing
Can you ping the name and IP of the network printers?

Re: printing
Hello,
is it an HP printer ? what kind of tools are you using to print documents ?
try to get information from this link and verify if printer is installed correctly:
http://www.digitalissues.co.uk/html/os/unix/hpux.html
try to restard spooler and see if work :
1)
or
1) Stop the lp spooler.
# /usr/sbin/lpshut
Restart the spooler
# /usr/sbin/lpsched
2)
***********************
* Add new printer : *
***********************
Command Line directions
1. Login as root. (you have already setup your name/address resolution right?)
2. Stop the lp spooler.
# /usr/sbin/lpshut
3. Add the printer
# /usr/sbin/lpadmin -pNEW_PTR_NAME -v/dev/null -mrmodel -ob3 -ocmrcmodel -osmrsmodel -orc -ormHOST -orpQUEUE
an explanation of each field above follows
4. Accept and enable the new printer
# /usr/sbin/accept NEW_PTR_NAME
# /usr/bin/enable NEW_PTR_NAME
5. Restart the spooler
# /usr/sbin/lpsched
Have a good luck,

Re: printing
What does lpstat show for your printers?
Are they connect to remove or to network printers?
