I need to create printers on the system. They are remote printers. Can any body tell me the proceedure to create printer on the system, plus I wanna know the command to list printers currently installed on the system.
Also please tell me the command to see the status of printers installed.

Have a look at the man pages for lpadmin and lpstat - or use SAM.

How do u add a print queue. Whats the difference between a print queue and a network printer?
I know u can add a printer using lpadmin and sam but what about a print queue.
What if u add a print queue, all print jobs already running will be stopped and restarted again.
