Hi
i wanted to define a printronix printer that i have with jetadmin/jerdirect software but i cant see the model script that i need to use
i choose the generic model but i have a problem with the printer .

Solution
Because you didn't bother to identify the printer model and the capabilities that you are looking for (simple text, barcodes, graphics, ... ?), it's difficult to be specific. The general answer to your question is that you start with the generic (or dumb) interface and then customize (possibly adding -o options) to get the desired behavior. Remember, this is UNIX. It has no concept of a "driver" for a printer. The output is the sole responsibility of the application. Some applications are able to query the terminal databases (terminfo, termcap, and/or printcap) but, again, that's the job of the application -- not the spooler.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
