Private Region Length

Hi,
How to check the private region length of a veritas diskgroup ?
Suppose I have a diskgroup,but I am not sure about the Private Region Length of the diskgroup.
I want to know the private region length.

Hello Nikhil,

You can run 'vxdisk list cXtXdX' to get that info;

# vxdisk list c64t2d7 | grep private
flags: online ready private autoconfig nohotuse autoimport imported
private: slice=0 offset=128 len=1024

I should have mentioned that Veritas stores the disk group configuration records to the private region of specific devices in each disk group.

I believe this is what you are asking for. Form more information refer to the vxinfo(1m) man page.
