Problem changing DVD install media during install Integrity VM guest

I'm installing HP-UX 11.23 on a VM guest. The VM guest has a virtual DVD player which points to the physical dvd player. During HP-UX installation I have to unload Install DVD1 and load install DVD2. I can't open the DVD carrier. How can I unload DVD1 and replace it by DVD2 ?

Just ran into this the other day.

I had to remove the device with hpvmmodify, change the CD then add the DVD back.

Re: Problem changing DVD install media during install Integrity VM guest

I did this with ISO images only, but I guess it is the same for "real virtual" drives.

Go to the virtual MP and change the disk using EJect and INsert.

from the manual:
"The virtual console commands are available from the vMP Main Menu, using the hpvmconsole
command or by pressing Ctrl/B if you are already connected . The virtual console commands
eject (ej) and insert (in) allow you to control the DVD device. Both commands provide submenus
for displaying devices that are removable. Selecting options through the submenus completes
the ejection/insertion process."

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

I used the vMP ej(ect) & in(sert) commands. That works fine.

Thank you Torsten!
