Re: Problem clone server with ignite

This is not a golden image right?
I assume you did a make_network_recovery and now you want to install this on your new vPar.

You should interact with the installer while restoring and adjust the target disk settings.

Hope this helps!

Re: Problem clone server with ignite

The new disk looks like it is on a fiber channel possibly a SAN based drive. You need to check if is it supported as a boot device by the server/OS level?

Re: Problem clone server with ignite

Hy, if you are shore you are choosing the right root disk in the advance settings.

and because of this error:
Could not clear boot block on disk

I would suggest you have a scsi reservation problem on that disk.has the disk been used on an aix or true64 machine?

i would try with another disk(if you can)
Windows?, no thanks

Re: Problem clone server with ignite

No it doesn't used before, new disks assignes form XP12000 array, i could disscard incompatibity, because in the same npar we got some other vpars cloned with this process.

Re: Problem clone server with ignite

Check on the XP side again if the drive is not fully allocated to the server yet. It appears as if it is write-protected.

Ignite certainly sees it since it substitutes the original disk with this one.

Other than that see if you can access this disk normally from another vpar/server and pvcreate it etc.
