problem displaying multiple nis groups on HP10.20
we have about 50 HP 10.20 and 100 HP 11 machines. NIS server is HP 11.
All the NIS slave and NIS clients (HP 10.20) are configured correctly and were working fine until yesterday. then suddenly, all the 10.20 had problem displaying multiple nis groups. Because of this users had permission problem reading files, unless they typed newgrp groupname. All HP 11 were working fine.
NIS maps did not complain about any problem on group file. Afer about 3 hours problem corrected itself. Do you have any idea why this happend?

Re: problem displaying multiple nis groups on HP10.20
Possibly you are using netgroups and you added a new client to the particular netgroup. This could invalidate the entire netgroup.
This is the only clue I can come up with as I might assume your 11's are in one netgroup and the 10.20's are in another. Did the problem happen when you added a client, by chance?
