problem ftping from HP-UX 11.11 to Windows 2003 server

I cannot ftp a file from HP-UX 11.11 to Windows 2003 or vice versa.

I can ftp from the HP-UX server into the 2003 server, navigate the file system and see files, but cannot put or get a file. Same if I go from 2003 to HP-UX.

When I put a file, it gets created on the Windows 2003 server, but the file never grows and eventually the session terminates due to inactivity. I see no errors in the 2003 ftp logs.

This is no a problem with HP-UX to Windows 2000, I have never had a problem with ftping to a 2000 server.

Do you have any firewalls running?
Also, can you check whether you need to update your FTP server in Windows 2003 Server? May be some patches?

I dont know which mode windows 2003 supports by default? can you check whether it is running in passive mode?

Thanks for your help.

I changed to passive mode when ftping from HP to Win2003, that fixed that problem there.

I cannot change to passive when ftping from Win2003 to HP. It does not appear as a command line option. Is there another way?
