Problem getting a lan card (10BT) up and running
I can't get a lan card up and running. I configured it using SAM, it wrote the network information to netconf, but didn't enable the card. netstat says its up as well as lanscan. If I try to rest the card using lanadmin, I get an error message:
Enter command: reset
Resetting LAN Interface to run selftest.
error: expected primitive 0x06, got DL_ERROR_ACK
dl_error_primitive = 0xe8
dl_errno = 0x04
dl_unix_errno = 16
Unable to reset LAN Interface
Can somebody help me analyse this situation. One of my collegues suggested I reboot the system. But, surely there is a way to fix this without having to reboot the system!

Re: Problem getting a lan card (10BT) up and running
At what speed is the port on the switch configured.
Make sure that the speed on the port of the switch and the machine are equal.
Thanks

Re: Problem getting a lan card (10BT) up and running
Is this new card? Is this card compatible with your system?
I had a problem on 10/100BT card with C-class systems turn out that C-class hardware don't support this card.

Re: Problem getting a lan card (10BT) up and running
Try to configure the card again. Delete the present configuration and start from the initial. Do the configuration through set_parms. It will be allright.
