Problem getting rid of cifs mount
I am able to stop and start the cifsclient with no errors, but when I do a bdf or cd to the old mount point I get NFS rpc errors
/dev/symm01/ora_tmp
5144576 130323 4701546 3% /tmp/ora
NFS getattr failed for server nastest: RPC: Timed out
NFS access failed for server nastest: RPC: Timed out
NFS fsstat failed for server nastest: RPC: Timed out
bdf: /cvdtech: Connection timed out
How can i get rid of this?

Re: Problem getting rid of cifs mount
Have a look at the mnttab file and if you have the old mount point remove that entry from mnttab(/etc/mnttab) file and try it out again.

Re: Problem getting rid of cifs mount
I say that with confidence than usual because I keep seeing questions like this.
The NFS problems should happen when you've used NFS to do an NFS mount on a remote filesystem and its somewhow become disconnected.
Because NFS is so integral to the way HP-UX works, I've never tried it, but it should be possible to shut down NFS totally and still do Samba/CIFS9000 mounts.

Re: Problem getting rid of cifs mount
HP never recommends to manually modify the mnttab file. So if it's a production server I would recommend you to talk with HP before manually modifying the file.
If it's not a critical system give a try.. I did it long time back. It worked fine for me. Good luck.
