Problem: No backslash in gvim

Hi,

i have found and installed gvim as an editor with good syntax highlighting.

Vim without the GUI works fine, but offers no syntax highlighting when started in a dtterm.

gvim with its own GUI has all the syntax highlighting i need (XML, HTML, ksh and so on). Unfortunately i don't have a backslash. I tried all keys on my keybord (HIL), but no backslash in gvim. Of course i have a backslash in dtterm, vi and every other application i know with -<7>.

Does anybody know a solution to this?

Thanks in advance

Stefan

Re: Problem: No backslash in gvim

Im also missing [,],{ and }. They are not where the use to be in a normal shell. And i can't find them anywhere else.

I would like to use vim or better to say gvim because of its good syntaxcoloring for a lot of different languages. But i have to have alle keys available.

I use gvim at home without any problems on a PC and its a really good tool.

Hope somebody can give me a hint.

Regards Stefan
