Re: problem whith NNM on Solaris 8
Jorge: please try again, sorry if English is a problem, but I am not sure exactly what you are trying to do, or what the issue is.
If you are trying to move NNM from Solaris 8 to HP-UX 10.20, what you have to do is completely install the HP-UX version of NNM (different CD set) onto the HP box, then you copy over many specific files to the HP system. The NNM data in these files is common to both, in a format that is for NNM, regardless of OS platform. Even NT/2000 boxes use some or most of these same files. But the product itself needs to be loaded up first, empty, and waiting for the data.
If you don't have NNM media new enough to support Solaris 8, you can download it from the web, and then use your codeword to provide the license key on the new platform. Your license key should be in a file that you can move to the new system, or you can generate a new key from the license center, at:
https://webware.hp.com (license site)
http://openview.hp.com/downloads/index.html (download site)
The download is a full-featured version, but with a limited 60-day license, so you'll need to move or convert your license to install on the new box.
If this helps, great. If I've missed your question, please try again, we would like to help you out.
Regards,
