Problem with cut/past/copy feature of dtpad from cde front panel

I am launching dtpad from the cde front panel and when I try to copy/cut or past info from this screen it just beeps at me. I'm can't seem to figure out it there might be a config file setting or if it is a terminal issue. This is on a HP-11.00 N-class server.

If this is an N-Class server would I be correct in asumming you maybe logging in remotely via say a PC ?

If so check the X-emulation s/w's config : eg for Exceed :

X Selection

The "X Selection" settings should be "PRIMARY" and all checkboxes below should be selected.

X Auto Copy X Selection
X Auto Paste To X Selection
X Copy on Focus Loss

These settings are required if you want to do a "Cut&Paste" of a string from a HPUX Xclient input line to the Microsoft Window Clipboard.
