Problem with dtlogin.rc start

Problem with dtlogin.rc start

I have a C3600 workstation. We had a severe storm yesterday, and the system lost and regained power. Now, when it attempts to start the CDE login via dtlogin.rc, it hangs for about 90 seconds, and then displays what looks like a default XDM window, with gray background, and an black X cursor. I have tried multiple things to clear this, including running the init scripts one at a time. It is clearly a problem in the call to dtlogin.rc start. I am basically unable to run the CDE window manager.

Re: Problem with dtlogin.rc start

Hi,

There could be some kind of file corruption in one of the CDE config files. Could you run

# dr_dt

and check the output for errors.
