Problem with EMC Clariion FC4700 and HP-UX 11i

Greetings,

I have connected my K380 server to an EMC FC4700...

My FC adapter (A3404A) works fine with HP FC10 storage...

However I am not able to see any of the preconfigured LUNs on the Clariion...

Is there any required patch to see the Clariion?

I have installed the patches of June 2001 for HP-UX 11i.

Sounds like you will need to talk to Clariion supplier. This could simple be a firmware issue on eth array, but to my knowledge, this is an unsupported array, and therefore may not work at all.

Hi Rui,

Do you "see" anything at all using ioscan and/or fcmsutil ?

You should also check the FC topology configured on the EMC ports -> Arbitrated Loop or switched fabric ?

ioscan doesnt detect any disk under the FC adapter...

Concerning the FC topology on EMC ports, I have no idea how I can check this...

which OS are you running?
which LUNs are configured and invisible?

for instance...
HP-UX 10.20: 8 LUN support , must start at zero and in sequential order (that means: no gaps allowed)

with higher UX versions you might need to have patches applied

I'd install the latest SCSI and FC patches in just in case..

Try 'fcmsutil /dev/fcmsX' to check the state of your FC Adapter
