Re: problem with ems monitor that is delete
if you have used the Event Monitoring Service (EMS) Graphical
User Interface (GUI) within the System Administration Manager (SAM) to
configure the event monitors, this configuration will not be saved, and no
actual monitoring will take place until hardware event monitoring is
re-enabled and you add the monitoring requests back again using the EMS
GUI. Event monitoring resources show up in the EMS GUI under the resource
class "status".

Re: problem with ems monitor that is delete
i didnt see at any referance that when you are config. with the GUI that changes are not save .
i know about the monconfig but i have never use it to define my monitor .
also the issue that it is delete only on TOC and not a normal reboot is also an issue that i dont know why is happening .
so i dont think it is the issue that i m defining it with the SAM ( i also check the version of SAM patch , i have the last patch install )

Re: problem with ems monitor that is delete
Please refer to Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements section in the EMS Event Monitoring Service Version A.04.00 Release Notes
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B7609-90020/B7609-90020.html
Also, refer to High Availability Monitors Version A.04.00 Release Notes
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B5736-90044/B5736-90044.html
Hope this helps.
