Problem with oracle 10g installation on hp-ux
i tried to install 10gR2 64-bit on my server, i got the below error messages:
Checking operating system requirements ...
Expected result: One of 11.11,11.23
Actual Result: 11.11
Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Passed

Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Not executed <<<<
OUI-11108: Packages information not specified.
Recommendation: Install the required packages before continuing with the installation.

You will have to validate the patch recommendations and determine if they are truly required or already superceded by newer patches.
Also, I have seen cases where Oracle 10g asks for patches of products which aren't isntalled. My experience in those cases is the patch isnt needed if the product isnt installed.
Either provide us a list or you will need to validate each requirement.

Run the RDA script (which is available from Metalink) to validate your environment. The RDA will list down all the requirement and any changes that would be required at the OS level. Once completed, you can launch the installation.
Can you post the log found in:
/var/opt/oracle/logs/
e.g. installActions2007-07-26_03-33-34PM.log
