Problem with root id
Dear All,
We are not able to change any settings through SAM with root id.
The above message was displayed when logged in as root ( root password given by itsc).
It does not allow to enter sub menus of networking and communications under SAM .
Best Regards
Vijay S

Re: Problem with root id
Vijay,
Could you post your HPUX version and latest SAM patches?
# swlist -l fileset | grep -i sam | grep cumulative
similar message in the itrc database
http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&docId=200000063230418
Regards,
Robert-Jan

Re: Problem with root id
Solution :
Step 1: Copy /etc/sam/reg_da.db, reg_files.db, and reg_tm.db to another location.
Step 2: Copy /usr/newconfig/etc/sam/reg* to /etc/sam.
Step 3: Restart SAM

If you are not a part of solution , then you are a part of problem
